The business was formed after hundreds of conversations with employers and industry professionals revealed a clear need for a recruitment partner who genuinely understands travel and can navigate conversations with discretion, clarity and sound judgement.

About Richard Taylor

Until February 2026, I served as Director of Membership & Industry Affairs at the Australian Travel Industry Association, working closely with businesses across the country during a period of rebuilding and change.

I remain actively involved across the industry in ways that keep me close to both its people and its direction. I regularly emcee major conferences and events, including ATIA’s Beyond Borders Travel Summit, and I’m the founder and co-host of Offloaded, a podcast focused on the people behind the industry.

I also serve as a judge of the National Travel Industry Awards and the Australian Cruise Industry Awards, and as a long-standing committee member of TIME, the Travel Industry Mentor Experience.

These roles keep me closely connected to the ideas, challenges and leadership shaping the modern travel industry, and underpin a network built on trust, relevance and long-standing relationships.

Through Talent for Travel, I now focus on helping travel businesses secure the right people to move forward, and helping capable people find roles where they can do their best work.
